The AFCP Co-Creation Community is here!

Innovation is at the heart of the Advanced Fuel Cycle Programme (AFCP). This technically demanding programme is tasked with finding new and innovative ways to support the UK’s transition to Net Zero through next generation nuclear power generation and recycling technologies. Naturally, this requires collaboration across an extensive network of supply chain and academic partners. With over 90 UK organisations involved alongside organisations from over 10 countries, AFCP is a truly collaborative effort. The expansive programme is made up of 11 technical themes covering the whole fuel cycle from advanced nuclear fuels through to advanced recycling and sustainability. With such a rich scope for research and innovation, and to support collaboration between all the partners, NNL has launched an online Co-Creation Community.

The AFCP Co-Creation Community is the primary destination for AFCP innovation and collaboration information. From within the community you can register ideas for innovation funding or incorporation into upcoming AFCP projects; comment and collaborate on ideas; request to join teams; respond to challenges from across the programme; catch up on the latest news in AFCP, register IP generated in your programme and view recordings of Quarterly Technical Meetings.

AFCP’s dedicated innovation hub, the Co-Creation Community, is now open for AFCP members to share ideas and innovate together toward a clean energy future.

Underpinning the Ideas theme of AFCP, the Co-Creation Community will expand in functionality as the community grows and as we promote challenge-led innovation for community engagement. The community is accessible by all partners of the programme who will be receiving personal invites via email to join the community.

The Innovation team invites those involved in AFCP to take a look at the Co-Creation Community. Please get in touch via the area for feedback on the main page or contact AFCP’s Innovation lead Tim Whitworth if you have any questions.

Let’s Co-Create toward a Net Zero future!
